This leaf is in honour of my mother, Barbara, who died in Nov 2008 of ovarian cancer. I am donating becuase I want to support research that would lead to early detection, since early detection could have saved her life.

Mabel was my grandma and lived into her nineties before cancer claimed her. We all called her GG for great grandma after our son was born. I will remember her for many things, being strong, her card playing... but mostly our laughter together.

My mother died of cancer 11 years ago. Only 65 years old. I don't feel that I have done enough to honour her strugggle and memory. This will help.

Pono, my wonderful father-in-law, was recently diagnosed with prostrate cancer and will be receiving his treatments in Valparaiso, Chile where he lives with my wonderful mother-in-law. Our prayers are with him always.

I am doing this for my mom who lost her mother to lung cancer. My Nana passed away in 1994, she was a kind, caring woman with an amazing heart. Her greatest joy in her life were her kids. She is missed dearly.

My sister Evelyn spent most of 2009 battling breast cancer and she is thankfully winning. As an artist, she will be thrilled to learn that a donation to cancer research will also add a leaf to this beautiful painting.
